2 Row Repeats

GARTER STITCH

When you knit every row in your swatch, you are creating the most basic pattern, the Garter Stitch. It is easy to knit, reversible, lays flat, and is stretchy. This 2-Row Repeat is an easy level project.

STOCKINETTE STITCH

When you knit one row, then purl the next, you are creating the Stockinette Stitch. This 2-Row Repeat creates a smooth, classic texture.

1×1 RIB STITCH

The 1×1 Rib Stitch looks a lot like the Stockinette Stitch but it’s really super stretchy and identical on both sides. As a result, it’s perfect to knit for garments when you need a little extra give.

2×2 RIB STITCH

The 2×2 Rib Stitch is a bit thicker and is great for knitting scarves, hats, blankets, and more! This 2-Row Repeat Pattern is perfect to knit up a chunky scarf.

SEED STITCH

It’s called the Seed Stitch because the raised bumps from your purl stitches resemble seeds. It creates a really pretty and sturdy piece of knitting. I have an easy trick to help you easily knit up this texture without mistakes!

The Sand Stitch creates punctuated rows of little bumps for an easy texture.

SEEDED RIB STITCH

The Seeded Rib Stitch creates thick, textured rows. It is stretchy and holds its shape with the seed stitches between the rows of ribbing.

5×1 FLAT RIB STITCH

The 5×1 Flat Rib Stitch has five wide stitches of stockinette separated by one narrow row.

7×3 FLAT RIB STITCH

The 7×3 Flat Rib Stitch has seven wide stitches of stockinette separated by three narrow rows, allowing this pattern to lay flat while keeping a bit of stretchability.

4 Row Repeats

ANDALUSIAN STITCH

This vintage Andalusian Pattern is a sweet little update of the Stockinette Stitch. In this 4-Row Repeat, we simply knit and purl on one of the rows, creating a little bit of texture and visual interest.

This Chevron Seed Stitch has a beautiful graphic design. This 4-Row Repeat Knit Stitch Pattern creates a seed stitch texture.

DOUBLE FLECK STITCH

FLAG STITCH

REVERSE RIDGE STITCH

The Reverse Ridge Stitch has the stretchy rib pattern horizontally rather than vertically. With a series of knits and purls, this is a reversible pattern that’s super stretchy, but unlike most rib stitches, this accordion stretch is horizontal.
