Width:
32″ Circumference: Small/Medium (5 Parallelogram Repeats)
36″ Circumference: Large/XL (6 Parallelogram Repeats)

Scarf Construction: The knitted scarf is created from the side-to-side on straight needles. To make things even easier, this scarf is knitted in one piece, rather than sewing separate pieces together.
One Color: This piece was designed in just one color. Of course, I always encourage you to get creative, so do as you will!
Finishing Work: Because we are knitting up our scarf in one piece, you simply need to weave in your yarn ends. I highly recommend lightly blocking your scarf to shape, allowing all of the different stitch patterns into the same dimensions.

___
BLOCK YOUR WORK
While your garment is in one long rectangle, block your Parallelogram Stitch, if desired. I think it gives it a draped and refined look.
I simply wet my garment, laid it out on my blocking mats, and allowed it to air-dry overnight.
___
SECTION 4: Stockinette Stitch Loops (Make 5)
Remove Stitch Holder: Thread knitting needle left to right through the first 6 stitches.
Row 1: Knit All
Row 2: Purl All
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for a total of 32 rows.
Place Stitch Holder: Add small pieces of scrap yarn to act as a stitch holder at the top of each finished loop.
Repeat to create a total of 5 loops.
___
BRAID CELTIC KNOT
Place your scarf down on a flat surface, and arrange as you would if you were wearing it.
Braid each untethered loop from the one side of your scarf by intertwining in and out of the garter-attached loops from the beginning of your work. Alternate over and under on each of the 5 fingers, creating a Celtic Knot.
Remove Stitch Holder: Thread your stitches through all 5 of the newest loops from left to right, so they are all on the same needle again.
___
SECTION 5: Garter Stitch Rows
Rows 1 - 8: Knit All
___
FINISHING SCARF
Cast Off all stitches loosely
Weave-In Yarn Ends
