RIGHT AND WRONG SIDES of the Fancy Celtic Cable Pattern
This gorgeous interlocking design is a fun project to knit up as a stunning scarf or a special blanket. If you enjoyed knitting up my classic Celtic Cable Braid, this pattern will be really fun as it takes your knitting up a notch.
Rather than the previous pattern’s 16-row repeat, this Fancy Celtic Cable pattern consists of a total of 32 rows for a more intricate and detailed design. However, since we’re using just 4 different cable stitches, the actual knitting itself is really quite simple.
Find some quiet time for yourself, patiently knit the pattern row by row, and you will love seeing this Fancy Celtic Cable design emerge as you knit it up.

Knitting Instructions
There are just 4 different cable stitches in this pattern. I have created the pattern with a color-coded system in both the written and chart patterns to easily discern the different cable stitches at a glance. Hope it helps!

Garter Edge: You may wish to start with a garter edge to begin. In my examples, I added 2 rows of the knit stitch before starting the cable pattern. Of course, that means ending with 2 rows of the knit stitch before binding off, too.
Odd Rows: Cable Stitches are only in the odd rows of the pattern.
Even Rows: For all even rows, you will see that you’re simply knitting the knits and purling the purls. If you’re comfortable doing so, this allows you to take your eyes off the pattern and on to your work. I’ve added the written instructions for those rows, too.
