About the Beaded Rib Stitch
Row Repeat: Knit up the Beaded Rib Stitch in a simple 2-row repeat.
Stitch Techniques: A series of easy knits and purls create the ribbed pattern. The thin vertical stockinette columns are separated by alternating seed stitches, giving it extra texture.
Easy-to-Memorize: As we are knitting just two rows with simple knits and purls, this texture is easy to knit on the go, as you can memorize the pattern without needing to refer to the written pattern.
Knitting Projects: Easily adds a unique texture to knitting projects when designing blankets, scarves, and hats.
Lays Flat: It is a favorite stitch choice because this pattern easily lays flat.
Not Reversible: This is not a reversible pattern because the right side of the work displays the design, but the wrong (back) side does not.

Knitting Instructions
Knitted Flat on Straight Needles
Cast On Knitting Flat: Multiples of 5, plus 2
If you are knitting your piece flat on straight needles, cast on knitting stitches onto your needles in multiples of 5, then add an additional 2 stitches at the very end. This determines the width of your work. Select any number of stitches, as long as it is divisible by five with an additional two stitches.
Row 1 on the Right Side:
* P2, K1, P1, K1 *, P2
When knitting flat, begin by purling two stitches, knit one, purl one, and knit one. Continue this stitch repeat to the last two stitches, then purl two.
Row 2 on the Wrong Side:
K2, * P3, K2 *
When knitting flat, begin by knitting two stitches, then knit your stitch pattern repeat of three purl stitches and two two stitches to the end of the row.
Repeat rows one and two until your work is the length you desire. Bind off when complete.
Knitted In the Round on Circular Needles
